Heavy Equipment & Truck Mechanic (Light & Heavy Duty)

Job Description

Mark Haynes Construction is seeking a qualified, ambitious individual to join our team as a Heavy Equipment & Fleet Mechanic. This position is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, light-duty vehicles, and heavy-duty on-road trucks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy equipment and fleet vehicles
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative inspections
• Troubleshoot and repair:
  • Diesel engine systems
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Electrical systems
  • Mechanical systems
  • Fluid power transmission systems
• Utilize standard processes and procedures for equipment repair and upkeep
• Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of heavy equipment and vehicle systems
• Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs
• Valid Driver’s License (required)
• Must be insurable under company insurance policy
• Class A CDL (preferred)
• Ambitious, dependable, and team-oriented mindset

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and alcohol breath test
• Employment is contingent upon passing all required screenings
• Ongoing drug and alcohol testing may be required in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations
